Still in the ring after his cowardly attack on Amore, cruiserweight champion Neville squared off with Gran Metalik.

Live a savage, The King of the Cruiserweights grounded his opponent and ripped at his mask.

From there, he tapped him out to the Rings of Saturn, scoring a mostly uncontested victory over the luchador.

Enzo Amore, Cedric Alexander and Gran Metalik battled Drew Gulak, Noam Dar and Tony Nese in six-man tag team action. The match, the latest repetitive addition to the mediocre division, was a rematch from the August 29 episode of 205 Live.

After some athletic back-and-forth from Alexander and Nese early, the heels beat down and isolated Amore. The scrappy loudmouth fought his way around, over and through Gulak, Nese and Dar and made the hot tag to Alexander.

Action broke down and Amore tagged himself back into the match. A poke to the eye and Amore delivered what Corey Graves called Jor-donzo for the pinfall victory.

The first match of the night was a rematch from last week featuring Tony Nese and Drew Gulak going up against Cedric Alexander and Gran Metalik.

Nese and Alexander used their quickness to string together several takedowns and pinning combinations to get this contest off to a good start. The crowd was silent when the bell rang, but it didn’t take long for everyone to notice how good the action in the ring was.

Nese and Alexander exchanged a lot of insults during the match, which is a good indicator they will be working a singles feud for at least the next few weeks.

It would also make sense for Gulak to target Metalik since the luchador uses all the high-flying moves Gulak has been protesting in recent months.

They were given just enough time to make this match fun without feeling rushed. Alexander picked up the win for his team with the Lumbar Check.

Cedric Alexander, Rich Swann, Gran Metalik and Mustafa Ali battled Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari, Drew Gulak and Noam Dar in an Eight-Man Tag Team match featuring the stars WWE Creative cannot be bothered to properly define.

Swann was the babyface-in-peril throughout the match, selling for everyone but Dar, who would not tag in.

The former cruiserweight champion made the tag to Alexander, who exploded into the match with a flurry of offense.

Metalik laid out Gulak and Daivari at ringside with a moonsault, creating a one-on-one situation for Alexander and Nese.

Alexander delivered the Lumbar Check for the win.

Gulak charges into Dorado’s knee to start and gets ankle scissored down. Metalik gets launched into a dropkick to put Gulak down again but Drew grabs a headlock to slow things down. Back up and Metalik spins around the ropes into a wristdrag to send us to a break. Back with Dorado hurricanranaing Gulak down and getting two off a high crossbody.

Drew finally slams him head first onto the mat and puts on something like an inverted Sharpshooter. That doesn’t last long either though as Metalik makes a save, allowing Dorado to hit a double handspring Stunner. Metalik dives onto Daivari, leaving Dorado to hit the shooting star to pin Gulak at 8:21.

Alexander and Metalik continue to be two of WWE’s most underused competitors, with the anonymity of the Mexican sensation particularly frustrating.

The match was preempted by Gulak hyping Nese up, before the good guys came out to kick things off.

Metalik looked typically fantastic, even managing to get a response out of the habitually quiet 205 Live crowd. His misuse in WWE is absolutely criminal. It was his partner who picked up the win, however, hitting Gulak with the Lumbar Check for the 1-2-3.

After months of not being booked on the show, Gran Metalik made his return to 205 Live to battle The Premier Athlete Tony Nese.

Both men showed off their versatility, power and agility within the first minute, which set the pace for what ended up being a surprisingly exciting match.

Nese eventually grounded the luchador with a series of power moves, but it didn’t take long before Metalik utilized his high-flying offense to take control.

This match had no hype or storyline heading into the show, and that may have worked in its favor. These two underutilized talents were given a chance to shine, and they jumped at the opportunity with great enthusiasm.

After both men did their best to steal the show, Nese picked up the win with a running knee to the face. His promo ability might be lacking, but he more than makes up for it with great wrestling ability.

TJP defeated Gran Metalik

TJ Perkins, now “TJP,” doesn’t seem to be a perfect fit as a heel. His gimmick is perhaps more annoying than it is heelish. He comes out here against Gran Metalik and other than a curl of his upper lip, his entrance is just as it was when he first came to the main roster last year.

After a slow start, they put on some good wrestling. They previously faced off in the finals of the Cruiserweight Classic last year, where Perkins became Cruiserweight Champion.

Rest holds and TJP’s attempts to thwart any high flying from Metalik soon give way to these two reverting to type and doing what they do best.

After TJP’s suicide dive to the outside, Metalik does a beautiful ropewalking dropkick and then hits a top rope splash for a near fall. TJP rolls out of the way of a moonsault and hoists Metalik onto his shoulders and hits his Detonation Kick for the win.

The opening match involved Scotland’s Noam Dar taking on Mexico’s Gran Metalik.

With regard to the story, Noam recently reunited with his former girlfriend, Alicia Fox, and she made every effort to interfere on Dar’s behalf. Metalik attempted to overcome these distractions and use his high flying offence to gain the upper hand.

However, it wasn’t meant to be, as the Scottish Supernova eventually landed a running kick to gain the victory.
